Foundation for Rural Service (FRS)
Summer Fellowship Program
Dear Customer,
Clay County Rural Telephone Cooperative, Inc., Endeavor Communications, would
like to announce that the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) is holding a
Summer Fellowship program for college and university students.
The Foundation Summer
Fellowship Program provides an educational opportunity and working experience
for individuals who were raised in, or currently reside in, a rural community.
The Summer Fellow will work in the Foundation offices in
Arlington, Va., and gain working knowledge of nonprofit business practices and
Foundation programs, as well as an increased awareness of rural
telecommunications issues and lifelong professional skills. The Fellowship is a
12-week summer program from May/June through August/September, with
flexible start and end dates. Foundation staff will work with the Fellow to
determine the time of employment, understanding that colleges and universities
around the country have varying term schedules. Fellows will be paid $7.25
per hour. Housing is NOT included in the Fellowship Program but the Foundation
staff will assist in finding housing options, if requested.
This program is open to all the children of our
members currently attending college or university. All applications will be
reviewed by FRS Human Resources and Foundation staff. Only one Fellow will be
selected for the program.
*Immediate family of current NTCA/SMC/FRS Staff and current NTCA/SMC/FRS
Board Members are NOT eligible to apply.
We would like to encourage former scholarship winners
as well as new applicants to apply for this program. All
application packets must be postmarked by April 1, 2011. Faxed or
e-mailed applications must be received by 5pm EST on April 1, 2011. Only
